The procedure for the sale and redemption by the National Bank of banknotes and coins of the national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan is determined by the Rules No. 70 approved by the Board of the National Bank as of April 27, 2018.

The National Bank calculates and approves the minimum selling price, which includes the cost of manufacturing and the cost of precious metals contained in the coin (rounded up to an amount that is a multiple of one thousand tenge). Starting from the sales starting date, the price of the collectible precious metal coin will be recalculated daily in accordance with:

• with the value of the precious metal contained in the collectible coin, determined daily by the morning fixing established by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA);

• with the official exchange rate of the national currency to the US dollar.

If on the day of sale, the calculated value of the precious metal contained in the collectible coin is higher than the minimum sale price, then the sale price of the collectible coin will be the calculated value of the precious metal on the day of sale (rounded up to an amount that is a multiple of one thousand tenge).

If on the day of sale, the calculated value of the precious metal contained in the collectible coin is less than the minimum sale price, then the sale price of the collectible coin will be the minimum sale price.

When buying collectible coins made of precious metals, the coins will be subject to an examination to determine the metal from which the coins are made, metal samples and the weight of chemically pure precious metal in coins in grams.

Based on the results of the examination, the redemption price will be calculated in accordance with:

• with the value of the precious metal contained in the collectible coin, determined daily by the morning fixing established by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA);

• with the official exchange rate of the national currency to the US dollar.

If the calculated redemption price of a precious metal collectible coin is greater than the minimum sale price, then the redemption price will be the minimum sale price.

If the calculated redemption price of a collectible precious metal coin is less than the minimum sale price, then the redemption price will be the calculated value of the precious metal.

If the calculated redemption price of a collection coin made of precious metals is less than its face value, then the redemption price will be the face value of the collection coin.
